Terms of use

The short version

TriedCodes is free to use. We work hard to list codes that work, but stores decide whether a code is accepted, so we can't guarantee it. When you buy something, you buy it from the store, not from us. Please use the site fairly: no scraping, no fake feedback, no leaked codes.

Who we are and these terms

TriedCodes (triedcodes.com) is run by MediaTech, 80 Collett Street, Queanbeyan NSW 2620, Australia ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you use the site. By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information, and our affiliate disclosure explains how we make money. Both form part of these terms.

Using the site

You can use TriedCodes for free, for your own shopping. You don't need an account. We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time, for example to fix a problem or add something new.

Codes, prices and store information

• We can't guarantee a code will work. Stores decide whether to accept a code, and they can change or end an offer at any time, sometimes without notice. The labels on each code (such as "Confirmed by orders") tell you what we know about it, as explained on how we confirm codes.
• Check the conditions. Many codes are for new customers only, exclude sale items or need a minimum spend. We show the conditions we know about, but the store's checkout has the final say.
• Store facts can change. We check shipping, returns and discount programs on each store's own website and show the date we checked. Always confirm important details on the store's site before you buy.
• Prices and availability are set by the store. We don't sell anything ourselves.

Stores and other websites

When you click through to a store, you leave TriedCodes. Your purchase, delivery, returns, refunds and any warranty are between you and the store, under the store's own terms and privacy policy. If you have a problem with an order, please contact the store directly.

Some of our links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you buy. This never changes your price.

Things you must not do

Please don't:

• copy, scrape or download the site's content in bulk, or use bots, crawlers or scripts to access it, other than search engines indexing it normally
• send fake "Did it work?" answers, or try to manipulate how codes are ranked
• send us codes you're not allowed to share, such as staff, influencer or one-time personal codes
• use the contact form or feedback buttons to send spam, advertising or harmful content
• try to break, overload or get around the security of the site
• present our content as your own, or use it to build a competing service

We may block access for anyone who does these things.

What you send us

When you send us a message, a "Did it work?" answer or a code suggestion, you confirm that it's accurate as far as you know and that you're allowed to share it. You let us use it, free of charge, to run and improve the site, for example to publish a code after we've checked it or to correct a store fact. We won't publish your name or email.

Our content and trademarks

The site's design, text, rankings, store guides and data are ours, or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. You can share links to any page and quote short parts with a link back.

Store names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the stores, which doesn't mean a store endorses TriedCodes.

Our responsibility to you

We provide the site "as is". We try to keep it accurate, available and secure, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or available.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be excluded by law, including under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer laws of the place where you live. Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows:

• we're not responsible for a store's products, prices, service or decisions, including a code being refused
• we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost savings or the cost of an order
• because the site is free, our total liability to you for anything related to the site is limited to AUD $100

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll say so clearly on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales can hear any dispute. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any protections the law of your home country or state gives you.
